STATEMENT FROM THE UNIVERSITY IN RESPECT OF ITS PROGRAMS IN DISTANCE MODE
“On June 26, 2015, the Hon'ble High Court of Sikkim rendered its judgment in Writ Petition 4 of 2013. The University wishes to inform students, their parents / guardians, authorized Learning Centres and others concerned that the Hon'ble High Court has protected the rights of admitted students by ruling that their Degrees shall be considered valid. The Programs in respect of students enrolled currently shall be continued until completion thereof and award of Degree.
The University has put on hold fresh admissions until renewal of Approval is obtained. As per the orders of the Hon'ble Court, the UGC is expected to take a decision on this application preferably within a period of six months. The University will pursue the matter with UGC and submit any further compliances that may be sought, and is hopeful of a speedy resolution. Further updates will be notified on the University website as and when necessary.”
